The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a new gimbal released on October 25th, 2023. The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is the successor to the Pocket 2, representing a notable upgrade. DJI has changed its naming scheme and swapped the 1/1.7-inch sensor for a larger 1-inch sensor. The Osmo Pocket 3 will also support 10-bit D-Log M color mode, like DJI’s Mavic 3 drone, enabling more advanced video editing options. The camera has a small rotating display that provides quick access to recording controls and allows switching between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations. With three onboard microphones, the Osmo Pocket 3 captures stereo audio and reduces wind noise. While release date, pricing, and availability remain unannounced, the upgrades to sensor size, color science, shooting orientations, and audio capture position the Osmo Pocket 3 as an exciting new option for vloggers and mobile content creators looking for video quality and features in a highly compact form factor.
