ASUS’s ROG Xbox Ally was announced in June 2025 and slated to launch on October 16, 2025. Co-developed with Microsoft, it’s a new Xbox-branded handheld bridging console and PC gaming. The hardware sports grips modeled after the Xbox Wireless Controller plus a dedicated Xbox button for quick access. Running Windows 11, the Ally taps into PC storefronts and Xbox Game Pass, delivering a broad library on the go. Two configurations are planned: the ROG Xbox Ally with an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, and the ROG Xbox Ally X with a Ryzen Z2 AI Extreme chip. The Ally ships with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD, while the Ally X upgrades to 24GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. Expected pricing lands at roughly €599 for the Ally and €899 for the Ally X.
